Gaming Bio:
When people ask me to explain gaming to them I typically always start the same way. Gaming is a way for your imagination to take shape and a way for your mind to experience things you never could in life, it also is pretty damn fun way to spend a few hours.
Gaming has always been a part of life. Ever since I was a little kid there has always been a controller or keyboard in my life. I have fond memories of having my friends over so I could own them in the original Halo (fear the sniper/pistol combo). I remember hitting 60 in World of Warcraft and feeling the same sense of completion as finishing College.
Throughout the years I have seen gaming evolve from side scrollers to completely detailed 3D worlds. I have played through the flops, gimmicks, and the master pieces all to experience the feeling I get when I pick up that controller.
I hope my insights on both video games and their industry provides you the consumer with the knowledge and experience to truly enjoy all that gaming can offer.

I consider myself more than a casual gamer, but not nearly as hardcore as my counterpart. When it comes to games I enjoy a story, innovating game play, and when a game can poke fun of itself. I thoroughly enjoy when a games story is captivating enough for me to lose myself it it. I love when a game comes out with a new innovation and than imagining how that innovation would alter my other games.
Like all gamers I do have my fanboy tendencies. My favorite IPs are Fallout, Zelda, Warhammer 40k. I am a Sci-fi nerd *pulls out soapbox* the gaming industry has been over-run by orcs elves and fairies. Yes swords are cool, and magic is neat, but I don’t care. This is the year 2010 give me my jet packs, give me my lasers, give me my mini nuke launchers. I say Nay, to the magical fairy dust that has covered many games. Let Elves, Ors, mutated bull (he means taurens) reside where they belong… in Disney movies. This is the new millennium let video games ring it in the correct way, with a barrage of laser blasts from a jet pack *put away soap box*.
In closing, what you can expect from my posts will be a light hearted, passionate, honest review or everything gaming, and quite possibly some soap box rants.

Gaming Bio:
Most people have one or two hobbies; hiking, running, football and of course,
gaming… I have many hobbies, but I’ve been playing video games the longest by far.
I feel as though I’m a part of the “Nintendo Generation” where I’m old enough
to remember when NES and Atari were the best of the best, but young enough
to have to explain to my out-of-touch grandparents how to use their cell phones.
I feel as though there are all types of gamers. In some way, shape or form everyone plays video games. Video games are on our phones, you can play video games on guitars or you can pay thousands of dollars for the top of the line computer, but they are completely accessible, which is why there can be multiple types of gamers.
My goal is to bridge the gap in this “gamer caste system.” I want everyone who games to realize that the word “nerd” now applies to everyone, not just those who game, because these days everyone plays games.
